LM -1200 Laser Marking System Feedback
AIC Technologies meets today's demand for cost effective non-contact marking/labeling with the industry's most advanced and versatile Laser Marking system available, the LM-1200. Designed specifically for the electronic assembly industry the LM-1200 provides a versatile platform for non-contact product marking to a variety of surfaces and is completely computer controlled allowing for quick change over, which is needed for today's competitive assembly market. The LM-1200 Laser Marker marks directly on the surface of the product and eliminates the need for costly contact/adhesive product labels and the associated consumables that are needed for printed labels. Laser Marking the needed part and product information directly on the product not only reduces marking costs by eliminating consumables and personnel, but also reduces production costs caused by misread labels that are chemically or heat distorted, missing, bubbling or a variety of other problems associated with adhesive labels that occur in various production environments. Because the laser markings become part of the product's surface they will remain intact for virtually the life of the product allowing for a long term part and product tracking and data acquisition.

The LM-1200 is an inline system that incorporates a large 12" x 18" marking area with a digitally controlled X Y table powered by AC Servomotors that provide fast and accurate PCB positioning. The adjustable twin belt conveyors located on the X Y table grip the PCB edges and transports the PCB to the proper marking position.

A Galvo optical laser head provides the LM-1200 with the accuracy and speed needed to produce a variety of high resolution markings at high speeds. The Galvo optical laser head is capable of creating 2D DataMatrix ECC-200, Barcode (i.e. Code 39), Date Code, automatic incremental serial numbers, special identification marks, alphanumeric text and graphics, on a wide variety of products including Printed Circuit Boards, wiring harnesses, components, sub assemblies and final assemblies.

The LM-1200 control integration system is built on a Windows NT platform with a user friendly interface and flexible programming gives the user the freedom needed to control the Laser functions for optimum performance.
